Full Size - Waterslide v Varnish Fix. Why, we hear you ask, do Fox Transfers produce transfers of the waterslide process when the originals were inevitably produced as 'varnish-fix'? Well, we can perceive no advantages whatsoever of varnish-fix over waterslide. Both processes involve fixing ink to a hard surface, by an adhesive of one kind or another. We think that it is important that our discerning customers can see what they are getting before the application process begins. And that's impossible with varnish-fix types unless you happen to benefit from reverse-acting x-ray vision. Oh and there's the little factor of longevity. We are still using waterslide transfers printed in the 1980s. With the other types, age has a direct deteriorative effect.
